Their sound is a part of some legendary guitar songs from; Brown Eyed Girl, to Little Wing. In music theory two note chords are called “Dyads,” but we will often refer to them as “Guitar Double Stops.” When two note chords are played in regular form we generally find them applied as; “Power Chords,” 4th’s, Octaves or as, 3rd or 6th intervals. With so many options, two note chords can have a lot of variations when compared to other guitar techniques. In this lesson, we cover two note chord variations of 3rd, 6th and Octaves. These are some of the most popular two note chords and once you know them you can start to use a version that you think will work the best to enhance any melody line
