The Third single taken from “Montecristo“, sixth album by the Italian power metal band Great Master. Moved by envy, Danglars, the ship’s scribe and candidate for the appointment of captain, organizes a trap to frame Edmond with the complicity of Fernand Mondego, in love with Mercédès, and Gaspard Caderousse, Dantès’ envious neighbor. An anonymous letter is thus written, with the left hand so as to make it unrecognizable, in which he denounces Edmond accusing him of being a Bonapartist agent. The letter ends up in the hands of the public magistrate Gérard de Villefort. The latter immediately understands Edmond’s innocence, but out of scruple asks the young man to show him the missive that Dantes brought from the Island of Elba without knowing its contents: the magistrate is shocked by the reading and, while reassuring the young man, he burns the evidence and issues an arrest warrant against him to protect his personal interests.
