Architects use it to design buildings and cool patterns. It took over a year of work, but I was able to design some 3d printed shoes for my wife. Grasshopper is different from Blender/Maya/3DMax in that it uses a NURBs based modeler, instead of mesh. It’s different from Solidworks/Fusion360/Catia/Onshape in that it’s easier to make more complex shapes. Closest 3D analogue is probably Houdini. ***This looks easy because I have may hours of experience in Solidworks.
