Various shots of toddlers amusing themselves at an . day nursery. They dance, play with sand and water and sit at tables eating and drinking. C/Us of a little girl washing some clothes with a washboard. A young girl of about 4 years old performs an elaborate dance with a tambourine - very cute. Narrator jokes that she may be the next Pavlova. Another little girl is shown combing her hair as she looks into a mirror. Narration suggests that these are children from poor families. They don’t have such nice toys themselves and the meals they get at the nursery are probably better than those they get at home.
