From Our Homes to Yours

The Winnipeg Singers present a special “Safe at Home“ concert. The pandemic is especially difficult for our Indigenous communities, seniors and youth. We dedicate this program to them. Thank you to the Manitoba Government for the opportunity to participate in their “Stay Safe at Home“ project. PROGRAM NOTES Ambe by Andrew Balfour “Ambe” is a welcome song, written by Andrew Balfour, a prominent Winnipeg composer of Cree descent. The original song, in Ojibway, was gifted to Balfour by traditional drummer and singer Corey Campbell. The song is “a call to the people to the ceremonial way of life.”
