“Those Who Wait on the Lord“ -- Sons of Thunder (1968)

In 1968 Washington, D.C.’s Sons of Thunder produced the first nationally-distributed album by a Christian rock band in the U.S. -- “Till the Whole Knows,“ released by Zondervan Records. “Those Who Wait on the Lord,“ featured in this video, is one of ten tracks from this album. It was written by Barbara Sullivan, and features Robin Woodhams and Joan Hettenhouser singing. Robin also plays bass, and other featured on the recording include Donna Gadling (organ), Don Williamson (drums), and Blaine Smith (guitar). The album was recorded at Rodel Studios in Washington, D.C., and engineered by Nelson Funk. Billy Graham’s pianist Tedd Smith also helped with the production.
