Using Science to MAXIMIZE the Mob Spawning Algorithm

A deepdive into the mob spawning algorithm! For the SoME3 Audience: This video assumes some basic understanding of Minecraft, but you wont be too lost without the background. A “Mob“ is an “alive“ creature in the game that sometimes “spawns“ (or suddenly appears). Minecraft players use “farms“ to spawn, then they often kill these “mobs“ to gather resources -- there is a whole technical community on this topic, and a lot of potential to apply math and science techniques! A huge amount of farms use the mob spawning algorithm, so such it is perhaps the most useful mechanic in Minecraft, but is quite complicated (and interesting).
