This Doesn’t Look Good for Toyota

Last week, Toyota said it would lower production for September, then make it up in Q4. That is no longer the case. The company issued a statement beginning with an apology for the, “considerable inconvenience to our customers, who have been waiting for the delivery of vehicles, suppliers and other parties concerned.” The statement went on to detail the planned production volume for November as approximately 800,000 units, with about 250,000 vehicles to be made in Japan and 550,000 vehicles in the U.S. and elsewhere.
