Infusing a fabric meditation book with healing smoke

In this video, I share how I like to infuse some of my fabric meditation books with healing smoke. I use palo santo in this video. Palo santo is a wild tree native to Peru, Venezuela and Ecuador. In Spanish, palo santo means “holy wood.“ It has been used for thousands of years for spiritual purification, energy cleansing and medicinal purposes. Once the wood sticks are burned, the smoke is believed to clear negative energy and restore tranquility and calm emotions. Before buying palo santo, make sure it was responsibly sourced. This will help support the preservation of the palo santo species and the livelihood of the indigenous communities who have used and cared for it for centuries. I have also done this infusion process over a fire in a fireplace. It could also be done over a campfire or with sage.
