Vanessa Kirby and Katherine Waterston on “THE WORLD TO COME,” Their Chemistry, and Sex Scenes

I had a great time talking to Vanessa Kirby and Katherine Waterston as much as I enjoyed watching their film “The World to Come.” Directed by Mona Fastvold from a script written by Ron Hansen and Jim Shepard (based on Shepard’s story of the same name), “The World to Come” is a poetic and hypnotic film about the power of love. Kirby and Waterston play two farmers’ wives in New York circa 1856 who fall deeply and madly in love amidst hard farm labor and the whispering angst of isolation claustrophobia. I spoke to the actresses about their characters, their chemistry and sex scenes, and the movie’s heart. “The World to Come” is now out in selected theaters and will be available on demand everywhere March 5.
