Polish MP puts out official Hanukkah candles with fire extinguisher

A Polish lawmaker caused one hell of a storm on Tuesday when he took a fire extinguisher to an official Hanukkah display in the parliament building. Grzegorz Braun was caught on camera as he walked through the building, spraying a cloud of foam as he went, before dousing the Hanukkah candles, calling the Jewish holiday a form of ‘satanic worship.’ Several bystanders attempted to intervene, including one woman who was unceremoniously sprayed herself. As a result of his unusual protest, Braun’s salary will now be halved for three months, and he will be forced to pay his own expenses for six months, the highest financial penalty permitted for MPs.
