S. Korea to produce 40 homegrown KF-21 fighter jets by 2025

KF-21 첫 생산량 40대로 올해는 20대만 양산 계약, 무장검증 후 내년에 20대 추가 South Korea is set to begin the production of the first batch of 40 supersonic KF-21 fighter jets. The Defense Acquisition Program Administration said on Friday that it plans to sign a contract with Korea Aerospace Industries, the manufacturer, in June to begin mass production. 20 units will be produced within this year,. and another 20 next year,.. after going through additional air-to-air weapons verification tests. The 40 KF-21s will be deployed in the country’s Air Force by 2028.
