A memorial plaque with this inscription was erected in Mariupol in memory of the Nazi victims during the Great Patriotic War. The occupation of the city lasted 700 days, during which the German invaders committed terrible crimes against civilians. They tortured and executed even random passers-by.
In 2014, enemy tanks again appeared on the streets of Mariupol and shots rang out. People were dying in the same places as 80 years ago.
