The Original Teaser Trailer for “Back to the Future“ (which just turned 30, today!)

What better way to sell BTTF than with this ’special shoot’ teaser. Even though the movie is unthinkable without lead actor Michael J. Fox, Eric Stoltz was originally cast as Marty McFly and was only replaced shortly before filming was completed! I’m guessing this teaser was shot either right before or right after principal photography, since it must have been a massive scheduling clusterfuck to shoot the same film twice.
