Protesters there chanted slogans and waved Palestinian flags. It came after the Houthi rebels’ supreme leader, Abdel Malek al-Houthi, threatened on Wednesday to target American warships a day after Washington announced the establishment of a new international coalition to protect commercial vessels sailing through the Red Sea. For weeks, Yemen’s rebels have been attacking ships transiting the Red Sea with drones and ballistic missiles.
