Making a Leather Satchel (Pt. 1)

► TOOLS AND MATERIALS: ► PATTERNS: Making a Leather Satchel (Pt. 1) I decided to make my mom a cross body leather satchel for Christmas, so I drew up a quick sketch and got to work! This leather satchel project is a bit smaller than a normal post office size leather bag and it’s a bit more square as well. I’m using a pebbled vegetable tanned leather in weights between 3 and 7 oz, and saddle stitching this leather satchel project by hand as always :) In part one of the leather satchel project I talk about the design of the leather bag, cut out the pieces and construct the front and back panels. In part two of the leather satchel project we’ll get the bag all put together and finish it up with a nice cross body strap! Making A Rolled/Tubular Leather Handle Tutorial:
