Insania - Genesi [Full Demo - 1994]

Insania were an Italian tech death/thrash metal band. They formed in 1989, having released 2 demos and 2 live rehearsals before their split-up in 1997. “Genesi“ was their 2nd demo and it could be compared to something like Invocator’s “Excursion Demise“ or Protected Illusion’s “Festering Fairytales“, but a more mid-paced. The technical thrash influence is undeniable and the death metal side almost sounds like an accidental addition, but it works really well. The lyrics being in Italian as well as accent gives it some more personality since it’s not very often that you find Italian metal in their mother tongue. All in all, Genesi is a fairly interesting demo from the underground Italian scene. It does not do anything out of this world, but it is enjoyable for sure.
