The story of how the family recipe became the property of the city and the favorite of Bridget Bardot!
It all started in 1955, when Alexander Mika decided to open his patisserie in St. Tropez and include a unique dessert on the menu, the recipe of which went from his grandmother.
At that time, the city was already a popular resort and a place for filming films, one of which was the film Roger Vadim “And God created a woman“ starring with Bridget Bardot.
During the filming, the crew often visited this patisserie.
Once Bridget tasted a local dessert and was fascinated by this amazing taste!
It was she who invited the owner of the patisserie to call this dessert Tarte Saint-Tropez, he listened, but did not change the name much to #Tarte Tropezien.
After this moment, #TarteTropezien became the property of St. Tropez, famous throughout France and beyond!

Ingredients for notes:
190 g of wheat flour.
100 ml of milk.
7 g of fresh yeast.
4 g of salt.
25 g of sugar.
2 eggs.
130 g of butter.
Syrup:
160 g of water 60 g of sugar 10 ml of fleur d’orange water
For cream:
500 ml of milk
3 yolks,
80 g sugar
30 g of corn starch.
Vanilla.
35 g butter.
200 g cream 35%
Zest of 1 orange.
10 ml of fleur d’orange water.
2 sheet gelatin.
