Oculus left touch controller spring noise

The left touch controllers analog joystick from day one has had a loudish spring noise going off when you do full rotations with the thumbstick. This causes sometimes erratic player movement during games were i use smooth locomotion. IT is louder then it seems and can be easily heard while wearing the headset as well. Main issue jittery movement with the thumbstick and i fear its only gonna get much worse very quickly. Seems mildly un-acceptable as a day 1 out of box for it to be doing that?
