MORE about the greats featured in this video: Keith Jarrett: For deep insights into Keith Jarrett’s playing, I cannot recommend Peter Elson’s book Keith Jarrett’s “The Köln Concert“ too highly (). It contains the full story of how the concert came within a hairsbreadth of being canceled, detailed background information, and insightful analysis both at a high level and at a level that will greatly interest musicians. Soon to be a movie! Check out Rick Beato’s amazing and heartbreaking interview with Keith Jarrett from February 2023 after his strokes: Jarrett’s music featured here: “Part IIC“ from The Köln Concert (1975): “Heartland“ from Concerts Bregenz/München (1981): “Solar“ from Solo Tribute: The 100th Performance in Japan (1987): “Country“ from My Song: Serena Williams: “Serena Williams: The Inspiring Story of One of Tennis’ Greatest Legends“ by Clayton Geoffreys: The 2021 film “King Richard“ is well worth watching as a window into the formative years of the Williams Sisters: Michael Jordan: ESPN’s 10-art documentary The Last Dance is absolutely incredible and revelatory about Jordan, the Chicago Bulls, and the psychology of excellence: There are many books about MJ to choose from. Two of the best: “Playing for Keeps: Michael Jordan and the World He Made“ by David Halberstram: “Michael Jordan: The Life by Roland Lazenby“: Tiger Woods: “Tiger Woods“ - a 2018 biography by Jeff Benedict that aims to include everything... except any interviews with Woods himself: Postscript: Tiger Woods is shown here *missing* the putt with which he could have won the 2019 Masters tournament - which he did on his next and final putt. It was his 15th major win and 5th masters win, but it had been 14 years since his last masters win. At 43 years old, it was one of the greatest comebacks in sports history, and to me, one of the most inspiring examples of never, ever giving up, even though he’d already had so much success as a much younger man. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
