Putin’s War Empties West’s Arsenal as Russia-Ukraine War Nears Two-Year Mark | Firstpost America Vladimir Putin’s war against Ukraine is nearing the two-year mark. To counter Russia’s assault, Ukraine has been receiving weapons, ammunition and financial aid from the US and its allies in Europe. However, as the war enters its next phase, the US and its NATO allies are struggling to replenish their weapons stockpiles. In the latest, Germany’s biggest defence firm, Rheinmetall, says Europe will need at least a decade to build up stocks. Earlier, NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg admitted that the Western military alliance is facing a problem. He said Ukraine’s ammunition expenditure is way higher than the West’s rate of production. Western military aid to Ukraine also witnessed a sharp drop in the later months of 2023. --- Russia Ukraine War | Vladimir Putin | US | NATO | Europe | Military Aid | Firstpost America | Eric Ham | War | Geopolitics | Global Economy | Firstpo
