Encountered a chubby cat, thought it had a good life, but the truth is heartbreaking

To be honest, when I first met this cat, I never thought it was a stray cat. I just thought it was a free-roaming pet cat with an owner. Who would think a stray cat could be so fat? As time passed, I noticed something was off. It was roaming outdoors almost all day long. I asked the neighbors, but no one knew who its owner was.
