Khabib Nurmagomedov, a famous MMA fighter from Dagestan is just the tip of an iceberg. This small Russian republic has become a modern-day fight factory, producing top-notch wrestlers and MMA fighters. I always wanted to find out what makes Dagestan such a powerhouse in combat sports. Luckily, I met Uzair Abdurakov, an up-and-coming MMA fighter from Dagestan. I spent a week with Uzair as he was getting ready for an important fight that was meant to change his fighting career.
