On July 24, 1990, Pantera released their 5th studio album, Cowboys From Hell. An album that is widely regarded as one of the most influential Metal records of the early 90s. It’s considered to be the band’s breakthrough album and it signified a dramatic transition in their career. They had gone from an all out Van Halen loving Hair Metal 4 piece, to an innovative grove metal thrash band.
