Aikido the way that doesn’t work is a video that was originally made 2 years ago. although that video was about the politics and organizations that rip you off with little to no actual martial benefit. This NEW video is about how traditional aikido techniques need a serious overhaul to be updated to a modern world situation. So this first installment is on Yokomenuchi shihonage. Lenny Sly sensei of the #roguewarriors training compound and founder of the TenShin Aikido Alliance goes over why this technique is ineffective in reality. Sly sensei explains how it doesn’t work and demonstrates how it can work if trained regularly. He also show us how to escape from having shihonage applied to us in a way that is not taught in any aikido system.
