Wolf pack checks out remote camera in Northern Minnesota

Enjoy some incredible footage of the Bowman Bay Pack from this past March right after they had killed an adult deer. You can see how large their bellies are in some of the footage (it looks like they have a basketball in their stomach!). This is typical for stuff themselves, lounge around while they digest the food, and then go back to the kill to eat more. We were really excited about this because it confirmed for the first time that wolf pup 2217 (small little ear tags) and wolf V067 of the Bowman Bay Pack were still alive. Pup 2217 was tagged in spring 2018 and we had not seen him since then. Wolf V067 was collared in spring 2018 but the collar failed immediately and we had no idea what happened to V067 until this video footage. Being able to confirm what wolves are still alive with remote cameras is one of the several reasons that we ear-tag wolves.
