Signalion Follow #RENEGADEMETHODZ here: Follow #Endlec here: Dry loopy techno, composed with classic techniques, yet designed for the modern ‘Futur Akustik’ release finds Endlec returning to a sound that has defined him earlier in his career and showcases the producer’s knack for memorable sonic designs and admirable studio prowess. Minimal in its components and pristine in the sound processing, the listener is presented with a cohesive collection of classic techno tracks that blend a mix of raw, percussive, driving elements and powerful kick drums with ever-dominant synth lines, providing a sense of intensity and raw emotion to all cuts, while straightforward techno rhythms keep the record dancefloor-regulated. ‘Max Hit’ opens the release and wastes no time by creating an intimidating introduction. A bold, toned percussion makes for an infectious groove, instrumental in the most efficient way possible. Dry and tight in the drum department for maximum effect, bursting with metallic sounds creating overwhelming tension full of grit and texture. The restrained production foreshadows a minimal but rhythmically effective track, keeping things straight to the point before introducing the defining mid-section synth riff, affirming the sheer size of the track. ‘Faux Wave 3’ introduces an expanded palette of textures on display with its tight saturated groove commanding to be heard in this production as razor sharp lead lines, blended with cavernous spaces and rolling percussive patterns. On the back side, ‘Systematica’ hits a little deeper with an infectious, pulsating bassline that effortlessly pushes all other elements forward, with a simplistic yet distinct synth motif that dips in and out, creating an ominous feeling of mystery that surrounds the track. With a few fundamental elements, Endlec manages to have things constantly twisting and changing, introducing a boundless dimension to a track made with impeccable precision. Closing the release, ‘Signalion’ brings an even darker tone and maintains a similar hypnotic energy with its loopy groove. A perfect blend of distorted drums, rolling percussion and captivating metallic FM tones throughout, delivering a neat finish to the EP.
