Miracles (1989) - Jackie Chan - Trailer (Hong Kong Legends)

This is one of the films that inspired me as a filmmaker. One of the most expensive Hong Kong movies ever made, it took nine months to shoot and cost $HK 64,000,000 to make. The subtle, Scorsese-inspired tracking shots, elegant montages, and innovative action sequences, indicate the level of care and attention that Jackie put into this labour of love, inspired by “Pocketful of Miracles“. Even today, the movie rates as one of the most technically proficient projects ever produced by a Hong Kong studio. As well as its technical accolades, the movie is also a ’must’ for action fans. Each of the movie’s fight sequences is very well conceived and the movie carried off the top award for ’Best Fight Coreography’ at the 1990 Hong Kong Critics Awards. Combining action, romance and Chan’s remarkable physical comedy, “Miracles“ is a dynamic martial-arts extravaganza, which has played to great acclaim at film festivals all over the World. The trailer shown here was taken from the Region 2 UK DVD released by Hong Kong Legends.
