Whilst they may not necessarily benefit from being a movie, a book or TV show, you could envision their stories being told that way. Yoko Taro’s recent release NieR:Automata, however, utilises every aspect of games to such an extent that its incredibly powerful story could not be told through another medium (especially relevant given there’s a NieR:Automata anime in the works now too).
