Solar - Kenny Kirkland Piano Solo

Hello all! For this weeks transcription I’m sharing this amazing Kenny Kirkland solo from the Miles Davis composition Solar, performed on the Sal Marquez album “One For Dewey” I have been a huge Kirkland fan from the first time I heard him playing with Wynton Marsalis back in the early 80’s. This is a great example of his playing, albeit, one of his “tamer” solos. Really fantastic time feel, motific development and voice leading. Hope you all enjoy!
