Enjoy! 😎🤘🏾🖤 Get it while it’s hot! 🔥 Seriously, I know some, if not most or all of these songs may get axed by “them“ at any moment, so please use the download links well and share the music (album/songs) with your friends so that the Groove’n’Funk never truly goes away. It was unknown this version existed. Although fans are familiar with the original version from the “HIStory” album in 1995, as well as the remixed version on the “Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory In The Mix” album, it has been revealed that “Money” (rumored to be originally titled “Anything For Money”) was originally written as far back as 1984 during the Victory sessions with his brothers, and recorded in 1984-1987, throughout the Forever & Bad sessions at Westlake Recording Studios in Los Angelos. It’s believed that this was made around the same time as Chicago, Al Capone & Smooth Criminal, due to the gangster-themed tone to the tracks. The song is rumored to have been written about the tabloid press and their overall greed and obsession for financial gain. Shortly after writing the song, he began working further on this version around 1984-1986 with Joe Kehr, Quincy Jones, with Andre Cymone co-producing the track with the two. While the song runs around 4 minutes, the full-length version is a nearly 11 minute long jam session. Due to time constraints, the song was edited down to potentially fit on a vinyl if they ever decided to put it on an album. While they all liked this version, Quincy felt it wasn’t strong enough for the upcoming album at the time due to the rap verses, as well as Quincy being not too keen on the song in general. So despite the other parties involved being unhappy with the decision, this version was shelved into the vault. Certain elements of the song were later used for “The Dance Electric” by Andre Cymone. Michael would later on revisit the song for the ‘HIStory’ album in 1994-1995, this one being produced by Michael & engineered by Bruce Swedien. They eventually put it on the album, while this version remained unreleased. //// Connect With Me! 👁 Main Channel: Instagram: Twitter: Soundcloud: TikTok: @eulonzo - No copyright infringement intended.
