Troops and bren carriers of the 8th Army are seen against a backcloth of fine Greek style ruins pock-marked from the heavy fighting, in the Palmyra area. Good shots of troops walking through ancient ruins with rifles at the ready. Later shots show troops taking a look at the ruins. Nice material of bren gun carriers in the ruins. VS Inside the captured Fort Weygand (Poste Weygand) in the Palmyra area which has been badly shelled. Inside officers inspect smashed Vichy French equipment, lorries and planes.
