At least 64 killed in ‘largest’ tribal clashes in Papua New Guinea
Police in Papua New Guinea have recovered the bodies of tribesmen who were shot dead in what’s being described as a massacre.
Police in Enga province said 26 men were killed on Sunday, near the town of Wabag in the northern highlands.
The government says there’s been a major escalation in tribal fighting with villagers wielding illegal weapons.
Al Jazeera’s Sarah Clarke reports.
