Peoples in Mississippi are in danger! Strong winds and incredible hail fell on Mississippi, US Strong winds, bands of rain, and hail battered the Pine Belt Friday afternoon. Reports of hail in Pine Belt Hattiesburg, Sumrall and surrounding areas kickstarted the round of storms, with rain, hail and lightning moving across the state throughout the night. The storm left plenty of damage, lots of downed trees. Earlier the National Weather Service offices in Jackson have issued a Level 1 risk from the Sumrall to the Hattiesburg. Today, hail has been one of the main threats for the storms in Mississippi. The latest storm reports show hailstones from 1“ to over 2 inches. The risk for severe storms continues on Saturday and then again on Sunday for similar areas in Mississippi.
