The full title reads “Nr Guildford IT’S AN OLD ROMANY CUSTOM - homes burnt as Gipsy families abandon their encampment for modern dwellings.“ Guildford, Surrey. Several shots of the children taking their belongings out of the small wooden houses in the woods. Woman’s voice tells the boys to hurry up. A small girl is carrying a cat and gives it to a man who is loading the things on a cart. Man starts the fire - gypsies watch their camp burning. A man (reporter off screen) interviews a woman with a child in her arms - she is surrounded by children. She answers his questions. She lived in this area for all her life, she has 11 children and now she is forced into moving to Walton on Thames. They were promised work but she is suspicious. Natural sound only.
