Georgia: A suspect was killed in a shooting incident involving a Milton Police Department officer that happened in a Walmart parking lot, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Police said officers responded to the Kohls on Highway 9 around 12:15 p.m. in response to a shoplifting call. According to police, the suspects were driving a red Dodge Journey. The Journey hit a car on the way out of the parking lot and drove away. The GBI said 31-year-old Shantidra Harris got out of the car and tried to steal a Toyota Corolla and drive off. According to the GBI, “Harris quickly accelerated the Toyota with an officer directly in front of the bumper.
