MONCHEGORSK is the town located beyond the Arctic Circle on Kola Peninsula in Murmansk region of Russia. 115km south of the city of Murmansk around the Monchetundra (what’s in Sami language means “a beautiful mountain range”). Founded in 1937, after two years earlier there was discovered the deposits of copper and nickel.
