Forging a Swedish Collared Axe

This is just a short video from Wira Bruk 1923 showing the forging process for traditional Swedish collared axes. It’s amazing to think these smiths were making roughly 20 axes per day, by hand, every day. A typical forge with 5 to 8 smiths could make 10 to 20 thousand axes per year.
