Chris from Mountain Time has been getting some requests to include some Mineral or The Gloria Record tunes in his weekly acoustic videos, so we’re proud to present the acoustic rendition of The Gloria Record’s “Miserere.“ “It’s hard to take seriously now, but for those who remember, the build up to Y2K was full of fearmongering and doom and gloom. I wrote this song on New Year’s Day, 2000, in the throes of a Great Depression which I had no way of knowing I was only in the early days of. I was honestly depressed it wasn’t the end of the world. Just another day. Now all these years later I present it to you in the midst of a pandemic, a much happier, wholer and more embodied man, whilst my children have water gun fights in the yard outside.
