По одной версии композиция основана на перуанской песне “Полет кондора“ (исп. El Condor Pasa), по другой- на музыкальном фольклоре Карпат: украинской, молдавской и румынской народных традициях. The composition “The Lonely Shepherd“ (German: Der einsame Hirte, Spanish: El pastor solitario) is the world famous instrumental composition of the German composer James Last, co-authored with Romanian pan-flutist Georg Zamfir. According to one version, the composition is based on the Peruvian song “Flight of the Condor“ (Spanish: El Condor Pasa), according to another - on the musical folklore of the Carpathians: Ukrainian, Moldavian and Romanian folk traditions.
