High angle L/S of crowds of people lining the streets as a funeral procession goes by; Naval officers and sailors walk slowly behind the coffin of Sir John de Robeck; some carry wreaths. The procession carries on to a quayside where eight pallbearers carry the coffin onto a ship. They are followed by several officers. Various shots show the ship moving out to sea; L/S of a cannon being fired from the shore. M/S of the coffin on the deck of the ship; pan right to show a sailor with bowed head.
In a sequence that must have preceded the above we see various shots of the coffin being carried out of a small church and placed on a wooden cart, as sailors stand to attention with rifles and civilians look on.
