The New Jersey resident was severely burned in a horrific car crash. The reconstructive plastic surgery, carried out by a team at New York University’s Langone Health, took 23 hours. It Included transplanting both hands and the full face of a single organ donor. The operation marked the first ever successful combination transplant of its kind.
