The group was formed in the summer of 1969 by organist Tony Bronsdon, guitarist Pete Ballam, drummer Rob Haines and bass player Jon Bavin. They were young, full of enthusiasm and inspired by progressive music. After intense rehearsals, the band goes on tour to clubs, colleges and universities across the UK. Their concerts were well received and gathered a large number of enthusiastic spectators. Under the influence of the Gothic image, “Bram Stoker“ tried to develop their musical image within the incipient progressive rock. A characteristic feature was a raw, but full harmony sound with the dominance of keyboards in the Keith Emerson style of the “Nice“ times.
