Do you ever look at a menu that’s so good you know you can’t choose just one item? Same. We had the same problem when we looked at the menu of outdoor activities you can do in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, specifically the Keweenaw Peninsula. Home of Copper Harbor, Calumet, Houghton and all things wonderful to do outside. We decided with two full days we could tackle two sports at two different places we had never been. Day 1 we headed to Calumet, Michigan to do some Fat Biking at the Swedetown Nordic Trails. I wasn’t able to find much online in the way of reviews or videos of the biking here so we went in pretty blind. What we found was a very well laid out and maintained system of perfectly groomed trails. I’m told there is just under 10 miles of fun out there and each loop gets progressively more technical and elevation happy.
