MOSAIC CROCHET for BEGINNERS - Easy and Fast Dishcloth with Basket weave Design

Learn how to do mosaic crochet in this tutorial video for beginners. Hi I’m Donna Wolfe from Naztazia. In this video I show you the basics of mosaic crochet. Mosaic crochet is a derivative of mosaic knitting, which was popularized by Ms. Barbara G. Walker several decades ago. There are several different techniques and this is just one of them. The basket weave design is created by making a series of stitches, including single crochet, chain twos, and double crochet two rows below. By reading and following along with the chart, you can make this easy dishcloth in 100% cotton yarn. You can also choose to make these blocks in acrylic or another fiber, then sew or crochet them together for a nice blanket. For this sample I’m using worsted weight yarn and a size G 4 mm crochet hook. Feel free to use a larger hook when you are first practicing.
