Disaster near Jerusalem! Major fire at a plastics factory in Hebron

A major fire has erupted in Hebron, 30 km south of Jerusalem. A major fire outbreak at the Royal Plastic Industries Factory in Hebron has led to an urgent evacuation of surrounding neighborhoods, marking a critical incident in the area. Occurring during a period when the factory was empty, the blaze’s uncontrolled spread has prompted a significant response from local authorities and the community. This event not only disrupts the local economy but also poses a severe risk to residential safety, especially with the fire nearing key industrial supplies. The huge fire triggered a first-degree state of emergency across the Hebron Municipality. Civil defence teams from nearby Jericho, Bethlehem and Jerusalem have also been deployed to help tackle the fire. According to local reports entire neighbourhoods around the factory have been evacuated as firefighters continue to struggle to extinguish the fire.
