Since we discovered the Lamento della Ninfa by Claudio Monteverdi, we’ve been haunted by its deeply moving beauty. So we figured making a video cover of that piece could be a great way to thank Bruno Raquin, one of our best contributors to our crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo. Originally, we performed it as a duet, with guitar and voice, but as Anne-Emmanuelle is currently learning to play the harp, we thought this instrument would suit the melancholy of this lamento even better, so we adapted it.
