Rare wild love bird feeds with chipmunks in West Michigan

I spotted this love bird in my back yard in Grand Rapids, Mich., today on June 28, 2014. At first, I thought it was a parrot or a parakeet. But I can’t imagine there are too many of these in the wild here in Michigan. It must have escaped from its owner. It sure was friendly with the chipmunks, though. :)
