‘Playing with danger’: ABC slammed for one sided Ukraine-Russia documentary

Sky News Australia host Danica De Giorgio says broadcasting a Ukraine war documentary from the point of view of the Russians is “playing with danger”. Ms De Giorgio’s comments come as Ukraine’s Ambassador to Australia Vasyl Myroshnychenko has called the documentary broadcast by the ABC a ’bowl of vomit’. ‘Ukraine’s War: The Other Side’ from British film-maker Sean Langan aims to provide a ‘human perspective on life on the Russian frontline. “You are playing with danger when you are embedded with the Russian army,” Ms De Giorgio told Sky News Australia host Andrew Bolt. “You know they are going to spew the propaganda. “You can’t take those lies on face value and then put it in a documentary, you need to be able to show both sides of the argument and push back because that is responsible journalism.”
