Sachiko M makes a long-awaited return to OTO following two stunning residencies here with Otomo Yoshihide in 2010. Working with a stark sonic palette that consists entirely of sine waves, Sachiko M’s radical stance consistently draws interest and provokes debate. Since 1998 she’s been active on an irregular basis in a number of projects, including the experimental electronic music duo Filament with Otomo Yoshihide, the electronics trio ., a duo with Toshimaru Nakamura, and the duo Cosmos with Ami Yoshida. Also on the bill is Eddie Prévost - founder of the essential AMM, and collaborator of the greatest improvisers internationally since the 60’s - and a trio of violinist Angharad Davies, saxophone and clarinet player Johan Arrias, and pianist Lisa Ullén.
